After a taking a brief break from the Christmas rush, I was back in the garage building the next piece of furniture and this time it was a table for the kids to sit at in the kitchen. Call it a hightop table, breakfast bar, pub table or anything else, but the item I used for inspiration was called a bistro table. We already had some brown stools and wanted to build a table to match.

December was a busy month since I was making a couple Christmas presents this year. I had started a project but it got put on hold so I could finish the presents in time and it was really close. I was putting the final coats of polyurethane on an oak hall table for my in-laws and also finishing up a cedar planter for my wife’s grandmother. They both turned out nice and I’m glad I could give them both something special after all they have done for me.
